Caretaker Conventions 07/08/2008
The Government assumes a ‘caretaker’ role in the period immediately before a State General Election. This role commences from the date of the dissolution of the Legislative Assembly and continues until the election result is clear, or in the event of a change of government, until the new government is formally sworn in.

The Department of Consumer and Employment Protection hopes to release the new contract conditions for all cleaning contracts shortly. In the interim, the State Supply Commission wishes to advise agencies to seek an extension of any expiring cleaning contracts for an initial three month term, with an added option to extend for an additional three month term.
