The State Supply Commission is comprised of a 10 member Board appointed by the Minister, of which the Chief Executive Officer is ex officio. The State Supply Commission Act 1991 also provides for up to 3 substitute members to be appointed.

The Board members are stakeholder representatives from Government buying agencies, small business and industry, and the union movement. The Board as an independent statutory authority sets and approves the policies for the Commission, and monitors the achievement of policy outcomes.
